पर्वतपुरा पंचायत विकास समिति द्वारा सहायता राशि देने का तीसरा महीना
शुक्रवासा गांव में इंदौर स्थित हाउल ग्रुप और ग्रामवासियों द्वारा बनाई गई पीपीडीसी की हर माह दो जरूरतमंद औरतों को सहायता राशि की पहल इस माह भी जारी रही। जिसमें इंदर बेन और रचना, दोनों महिलाओं को पीपीडीसी सदस्यों ने घर जाकर सहायता राशि प्रदान की।
पिछले माह जब समिति के सामने उन्हें सरकार द्वारा मिलने वाली पेंशन नहीं मिलती है पता चला तो समिति ने उन्हें वो दिलवाने की कोशिश शुरू कर दी और तब तक के लिए उन्हें सभी सदस्यों ने समिति की तरफ से सहायता के लिए राशि देना शुरू किया।
समिति इतनी सक्षम नहीं है इसलिए जितना सरकार द्वारा मिलता है फिलहाल हम उतना ही दे पाते हैं मतलब की 600 रुपए। हम जल्द ही 2 से अधिक जरूरतमंदों को यह देना चाहते हैं और उसी की तरफ काम कर रहे हैं।
The pension schemes for widows and needy women from rural India had been one of the most underrated realms of different policies. There are 12 kinds of pension schemes running, but getting it remains a far fetched reality. Farmers and labourers of Parvatpura Panchayat (MP), who formed a committee in order to improve the lives of people living in the panchayat, surveyed about all such women who were not getting pension amount.
They did their best to reach the concerned authority, but the waiting was too long, naturally. The committee has a rule where all the members have to pool 1 rupee every day. They read and practiced the meaning of ‘We the people’, and decided to start the pension on their own!
They are non-existing when compared with the state or central government. But through the hard earned minimal funds they have, they are offering pension to couple of needy women, an amount of Rs 600 per month, same that is paid by the government too.
The committee decided to continue this till the time these women are not getting their pension amount from the Panchayat office. In order to practice such a model of self-reliance, and believe in the essence of ‘We the people’, today they are helping a couple of women, but the target is to reach the majority and make the government hear.
It’s been three months since PPDC is doing this activity.
