अंतिम जोहार कामरेड जलेश्वर!

1980 में इंदिरा गांधी सत्ता में लौटीं तब जेपी की पहल पर गठित लोक स्वातंत्र्य संगठन People’s Union for Civil Liberties को पुनर्गठित किया गया।न्यायमूर्ति वी एम तारकुंडे अध्यक्ष चुने गए।अलाहाबाद में PUCL की उ प्र इकाई गठित करने के लिए सम्मेलन हुआ।वाराणसी के लिए चार सदस्यीय संयोजन मंडल बना।इसमें काशीनाथ सिंह,जलेश्वर,सुरेश प्रताप और मैं थे।
जल्द ही जलेश्वर और सुरेश प्रताप गांडीव से जुड़ कर सक्रिय पत्रकारिता में आ गए ।गांडीव,आज और अमृत प्रभात में जलेश्वर रहे।उजाला के समाचार संपादक थे।
अवकाश प्राप्ति के बाद बनारस आ गए।लंका क्षेत्र में समाजवादी जन परिषद का कार्यक्रम होता तो रुचिपूर्वक भाग लेते थे।
जलेश्वर प्रतिबद्ध मार्क्सवादी थे।फेबु पर खुद का तार्रुफ़ Radical Marxist के रूप में दिया है।कल कार्ल मार्क्स की पुण्यतिथि पर जलेश्वर की अंतिम पोस्टों में एक थी।कॉमरेड कार्ल मार्क्स को लाल सलाम के साथ मार्क्स का प्रसिद्ध उद्धरण जो उनकी समाधि पर लिखा हुआ है,’ “The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways • the point however is to change it” (from the Theses on Feuerbach).
बेटी की मृत्यु के बाद जलेश्वर मृत्यु पर भी तार्किक ढंग से सोचते थे।
मैंने उन्हें नबकृष्ण चौधरी द्वारा आपातकाल में जेल से मुझे लिखे एक पत्र से मृत्यु पर उनके विचार को लिख भेजा।गांधी विद्या संस्थान,राजघाट परिसर में सुरेंद्र विक्रम सिंह का बेटा शिशु वरुणा में डूब गया था।उस खबर पर नबकृष्ण चौधरी ने लिखा था-
That suddenly brings to my mind – forgetful due to old age –
the terrible shock I had got on hearing from Baby about Surendra Bhai’s lovely little
son’s death! Of all the little ones to play with in the Sadhana Kendra, somehow, he was perhaps the one whom I loved and admired most. I do not know how to console people.
I have never consoled myself. I live with my sorrows, however terrible they may be. That
is my philosophy. I think, if I do not suffer I cease to be a human being. Why is it that
the mother suffers the most for the lost child? The simple reason is she loves the most.
To lessen her sorrow would she like to be something less than a mother? In the animal
kingdom man is the only creature who suffers at the very sight of others suffering
because by nature he is capable loving others outside his kith and kin. Let us love more and more and bear all the suffering that comes out of this game of love. Jesus perhaps
meant this and not what the pious Christians say, when he mounted the gallows which
used to be like cross in those days in his country.

जलेश्वर फेसबुक पर देश-दुनिया के बहुत चुनिंदा खबरें और लेख (आर्थिक और वित्तीय विषयों पर अधिक) पोस्ट करते थे।फासीवाद,हिटलर आदि पर उनकी कई पोस्टों के कारण हाफ पैंटीयों की शिकायत पर उनका खाता फेबु निलंबित भी करता था।
